DIXON KEMP
Manual of Yacht and Boat Sailing and Architecture

(11th and final edition, 1913, edited by Heckstall-Smith and Hope)

TITLE PAGE.

This is a Dictionary. This is the index page -- it's not finished yet.

Individual pages in the Dictionary have not received final proofing so there are lots of typos, I'm sure, as well as a few missing words.

Not only that but the paragraph formatting will probably look completely wacko.

There are few illustrations yet.

About the Dictionary:

Items which also appear in the Dictionary in the first edition will be flagged in red. I may also add, in brackets, terms which were omitted by the 11th edition though I will not add their definitions because I don't have an OCR-able copy of the 1878 first edition. I may try to add any significant items which are in the first edition, however, at some later point in an Appendix to the Dictionary.

Spelling Notes.

The spelling and punctuation have been changed only slightly and in most cases the English spelling has been preserved. The main changes are as usual eliminating rampant hyphenated terms.
